The Cīrava Lutheran Church was built during the time of Baron H. F. von Bēr, between 1780 and 1781, in Sudmalkalne. From the outside, it resembled other churches in Kurzeme with its pyramid-shaped tower, red tiled roof, and massive brick walls. The altar and pulpit are works of art in the Rococo style (the author is unknown). The altar, pulpit, and the lord’s bench, which rests on a woman’s head, as well as the organ gallery, organ prospect, and the decorative interior, are recognized as national monuments of art. The church also retains an ancient bell and organs from the early 18th century. A portrait of Baroness Juliana Elisabeth von Bēr is placed in the church, carved in white marble. Several valuable interior items have been preserved, including candlesticks, a confessional, an offering bowl, a chalice, and a paten. Beneath the church, in a crypt, were buried the manor lords J. E. von Bilova and her daughter J. E. von Bēr. Both ornate metal sarcophagi are now displayed in the Rundāle Palace Museum.
