Baron Otto von Lilienfeld gave permission to build the church in 1897 and allocated a plot of land from his own property. Construction work for the church began in 1900, and the first service in the newly built church was held on December 10, 1906. Since 1996, the congregation's pastor has been Deniss Doroņins.
