Pape Village History, Nature and Bird Exhibition
“Dzintarvēji”, Pape, Rucava Parish
Contact: +371 29134903
The exhibition is located in a historic fish reception and processing building in Pape, built in 1936. At that time, fishing was one of the main sources of livelihood for the residents of the villages of Pape and Nida.
Today, the building houses an exhibition presenting the history of the local village and the Pape Nature Park. In 2025, with financial support from the Interreg VI-A Latvia–Lithuania Programme 2021–2027, within project No. LL-00022 “Birdwatching Network along the Baltic Sea Coast”, a new nature exhibition was created at this site. It introduces visitors to the diversity of birds of prey, their nesting habits, and the research methods used to study them.
