As a result of the reorganization of the region's antiquities repositories, the operation and maintenance of the repository have been taken over by the association "Kalēti Local Initiative Group" (Kalēti VIG). This ensures that the objects donated and entrusted to the repository over time by local residents remain preserved and cared for.

The association has submitted a project “Systematization and Preservation of Kalēti Antiquities Repository Materials” as part of the ELFLA project initiative “Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage”.

The repository’s premises are well-suited for educational activities for school groups and other collectives.

Since the spring of 2025, the Kalēti Antiquities Repository has been open to all interested visitors, by prior appointment via phone.
