The area around Vaiņode boasts a hilly terrain and magnificent landscapes. One of the most beautiful landscapes can be seen from the Volzbach hill, which is only 2 km from the center of Vaiņode.
The steep slope with a breathtaking view over the ravine attracts many visitors.
In winter, there is a more than 100-meter-long descent with skis, a snowboard or sleds. At other times of the year, Volzbach mountain is a great place for relaxation - there are well-equipped places for picnics, walks, photo sessions. In autumn, Volzbach is one of the best places on the Vaiņode side to observe the magnificent autumn scenery.
The mountain can be easily reached by car.
