Piejūras bites

Sakas parish farm "Pīlādzīši" has been operating since 1992, but beekeeping work started 20 years later, gradually creating the brand "Piejūras bites". Indeed, the beehive is only 300 m from the shore of the Baltic Sea. Proximity to the sea means frequent wind, cold spring and half the area for collecting nectar, which are unfavorable factors for successful beekeeping. Despite the maritime climate, Pijuras bees manage to produce honey for their customers as well, who appreciate the efforts of both bees and beekeepers and the special taste of honey.

We offer honey of various flowers, obtained in spring, summer and autumn from the typical flowers available near the sea.
