ZS Turaidas was established in 2003 in Dunalkas parish, near Durbe, as an organic farm specializing in the cultivation and sale of medicinal herbal teas.
Since 2013, the farm has been actively involved in rural tourism. Visitors are introduced to the history and significance of medicinal plants, and everyone has the opportunity to find medicinal herbs in nature. During tastings, there is an opportunity to learn about the drying, storage, and packaging processes of the plants. During this time, the participant's bouquet will be dried, which can then be wrapped and taken home. The group size is up to 30 people.
The farm also manufactures woven fences and conducts workshops on making these woven fences.
