The northern polder of Lake Pape
The area around Lake Pape is one of the best observation spots in Latvia during bird migration. In autumn and spring, thousands of migratory birds and bats use the strip along Pape lake and the sea as a migration route (Baltic - Baltic Sea migratory bird route). In autumn, the most patient observers can observe almost all Latvian bird species in Pape!
