Birdwatching Tower in the Eastern Part of Lake Pape

A viewing tower established by Latvijas valsts meži in the western part of Lake Pape. Since its construction, it has served as a bird migration observation point, allowing visitors to watch birds flying over the reed beds of Lake Pape. A quiet place for relaxation and a stop in the embrace of nature.

To reach the tower, it is important to turn towards it no earlier than before the house “Šalkoņi,” as Google Maps often misleads travelers by indicating access via one of the earlier roads, which leads to private property.
