A linden tree Aužuļi

The fourth largest linden tree in Latvia (7.40 m) got its name in honor of the Aužuli house, where it grew. The houses are long gone. Experts say that the linden tree could be around 380 years old. Severely damaged in the January 2005 storm. When the broken branch poked into the ground, new shoots began to sprout, forming a peculiar gate.
On May 9, 2007, a new linden was planted next to the linden.
