Liepāja Association of the Blind offers to visit the social rehabilitation and cognitive center "Dvēsele Veldze dārzs" in Ziemupė, where everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the rural environment and participate in various informative and educational activities suitable for both people with disabilities and other interested parties.
Excursion participants have the opportunity to see the well-arranged territory of the "Dvēsele Veldze garden" and, for a symbolic fee, participate in various classes and activities. Excursions are accompanied by a guide and in them, everyone interested has the opportunity to see the Park of Senses, which gives the opportunity to smell flowers, touch and taste various plants, or have a moment of respite in the tea house in the center of the park. In the continuation of the excursion, it is possible to walk the 610-meter long "Bass Foot Trail", where the surfaces change every 10 meters, alternating with obstacles of different degrees of difficulty, go through the 800-square-meter labyrinth of Smaragd thuja, enjoy swimming and beach facilities in the backyard pond, which is arranged , to be able to provide swimming opportunities for people with functional disabilities with the help of adapted swimming wheels, as well as playing outdoor chess or checkers with specially made, oversized pieces and exercising on outdoor exercise machines.
