Recommended starting point: Parking area by Cīrava Evangelical Lutheran Church.

For those who enjoy leisurely walks and beautiful nature views, Cīrava Forest Park offers various thematic nature trails, including the Beaver Trail, Legend Trail, Grasshopper Trail, Echo Trail, and others. Most of the trails run along the banks of the Durbe River, revealing its many bends, beaver activities, and groves of beech, birch, aspen, and pine trees. Trails are available in different lengths and durations, suitable for all age groups.

  • Beaver Trail:
The nature trail winds through a beautiful mixed forest along the bends of the Durbe River. It is particularly appealing to children, featuring various attractions such as a rope bridge, climbing walls, swings, small observation towers, outdoor reading areas, and picnic spots. The trail is marked with special signs—beaver symbols on wooden posts.
    Trail length: 1.7 km
    Duration: approximately 2 hours

  • Echo Trail:
Along this trail, you will find unique sound art installations made of metal, allowing visitors to create sounds—“Horn Whistle,” “Sounding Boxes,” “Zvang,” “Forest Harp,” etc. The trail is marked with horn symbols on wooden posts.
    Trail length: 1.5 km

  • Legend Trail:
Leaving the car near Cīrava Lutheran Church, you can enjoy six wooden sculptures made from broken or dried ash trees, preserving their natural placement.
    Trail length: 410 m

  • Grasshopper Trail:
Featuring several active recreation objects, bridges, and benches with trash bins. Since the activity elements are spring-mounted, it’s named the “Grasshopper Trail.” The trail is marked with grasshopper symbols on wooden posts.
    Trail length: 450 m

  • Straight Passage:
This sculpture trail represents the different trails in Forest Park—“Beaver Trail,” “Echo Trail,” “Grasshopper Trail,” and “Fisherman’s Trails.”
    Trail length: 900 m

  • Fisherman’s Trails (Untouched Nature Trails):
These trails follow multiple bends of the Durbe River, perfect for those appreciating untouched nature. They are not suitable for strollers, wheelchairs, or bicycles. Marked with fish symbols on wooden posts.
    Trail lengths: 270 m, 210 m, 450 m, 450 m
