Behind the elementary school in Rude, there is a barn of old harnesses, where you can see the harnesses donated to the storage, learn about their use and the horse care customs of the Otaņki side. Everything can be touched, even climbed and tried, that is our belief. Getting to know new places and feeling history is always exciting! We look forward to visiting young and old! The Otaņki antiquities store has been operating since 2000. It collects, preserves and exhibits objects donated by local residents and used on our side. The storage contains originals from the Stone Age to the present day. The oldest object in the antiquities repository is a tool from the latest stone age - the Neolithic. It is a smooth, dark stone chisel, approximately 5-6 thousand years old. As well as 3D copies of ancient Middle Stone Age - Mesolithic - moose antler axes found here were made with the help of modern technologies. They are approximately 8 thousand years old and their originals are stored in the Latvian National History Museum. The antiques store is proud of the variations of parts of the Nica folk costume, as well as an old, original Rucava folk costume, which came to the store due to a marriage on the Nica side.
