This is a place run by a true Latvian hostess, Gunita Pūre, together with her large family and helpers. In the beautifully arranged shop located in the premises of “Alejas Maizes Ceptuve,” visitors can purchase wood-fired bread, with more than 10 different varieties available. We especially recommend tasting the “Pīle” – bread with meat. The bakery’s selection is regularly complemented with new and delicious treats.
With prior booking, groups have the opportunity to take part in the bread-baking process and listen to the hostess’s stories about bread.
