Aizvīķi Baptist Church

Aizvīķu Baptist Church is located in a quiet area, surrounded by a dense pine forest. The church was built in 1936, when the Aizvīķi congregation purchased a plot of land from the local Strēļu family. The Baptist congregation in Gramzda was founded in 1888. The current church is the third building used by the congregation. The impressive altar painting, "Christ Calming the Storm on the Sea," was created by the artist O. Cintiņš. His name was not widely promoted during the Soviet era due to the political climate at the time.
