The Gramzda Evangelical Lutheran Church

It has been rebuilt several times, destroyed, burned, and restored again. The history of the Gramzda Church dates back to the order issued by the Duke of Courland in 1567 for the construction of the church. In June 1941, at the start of World War II, the church was set on fire, but by the fall of the same year, the church celebrated its roof-ridge ceremony. In 1944, at the end of World War II, the church was destroyed once more. Only ruins remained. The restoration of the church began in 2009. Now it has been rebuilt, and the sound of the new church bell once again calls the congregation and visitors to come, be silent, and spend a moment with God.
