Wall painting
Using sketches by Canadian artist Silvia Borda, a wall mural has been created next to the SERDE residency center on Atmodas Street 11. The mural, based on the artist's sketches, was painted by Canadian film artist Reiners Derdo. Silvia Borda has visited Aizpute several times as part of the "Frontiers in Retreat" project, and she was inspired by the old apple orchards of Aizpute for this idea. The artist has developed sketches for the buildings on Atmodas and Kalvenes streets, which could potentially be painted with apple and apple blossom motifs in the future.
