SEA FISHING

Those who want to try sea fishing should understand the habits of fish in each of the seasons. Sea fishing can basically be divided into two types - cope sea from the shore and fishing from a boat. Fishing in the sea from the shore is possible only from October to November or December, depending on the weather, because the butes come closer to the shore only when the water in the sea cools down.

Cope from a boat in the sea is possible in all seasons. Especially popular is pike perch in the sea, which are more common off the coast or at the mouths of rivers, so pike fishing will be successful from the pier or in boats. Also, cod, salmon and sea trout are often caught by anglers.

Fishing from the piers of Pāvilosta and in the Saka River does not require separate approval in the municipality. Anglers only need a valid fishing card and observe the conservation periods for the respective fish species.

JūrCafe operates on site, where you can buy hot food and drinks, which the friendly owner will be happy to prepare to order even outside working hours. Also scum and lead, which often disappear in the depths of the sea. A little further from the parking lot is a shop. Possibility to spend the night with tents at the campsite, separate fire place and table, firewood for sale. It is not allowed to light fires, build tents in the dunes and on the beach.

NOTE!

Everyone over 16 and under 65 must buy a fishing card. Disabled people can also fish without it. You must have an identity document with you when fishing.
In licensed fishing areas, seniors may also need to purchase licenses.
