From 1898 to 1921, Zenta Mauriņa (1897-1978), writer and literary historian, laureate of international awards (1971 Konrad Adenauer Award, 1977 Swiss Association "For Human Rights and Freedom" award) lived here ; the writer is mentioned in the French encyclopedia "The most famous women of the world").
Visitors are offered:
- tours of the memorial rooms;
- watch the film "White Defiance" by R. Rikard, the film "Aspazija", the film "Amber Road";
- for students – museum lessons with an insight into the works of Latvian writers, using the writings of Z. Mauriņas.
